Set Boundaries, Find PeaceNot to totally call you out, but this book by Nedra Glover Tawwab is an incredible, accessible, actionable guide on how to set boundaries with the people in your life. The reflective prompts at the end of each chapter are extremely helpful! | HealthyMinds AppThis app is my go-to recommendation for mindfulness because (1) it's free, (2) it's research-based, and (3) each meditation is customizable as either a seated meditation or an active meditation, and as short as 5 minutes or as long as 30. An amazing and accessible way to start training your brain! | Darkness RISINGDarkness RISING is one of my favorite organizations to support. Founded by the amazing Carlita Victoria, their goal is to inspire conversations about mental health, address issues which directly affect the Black community, connect attendees to resources, and erase the stigma. They also offer lots of free resources including "Find Me A Therapist" which connects people to Black therapists! |
